Conflict in Cambodia 1991-1993
Following a peace agreement, the United Nations formed the
UNTAC (United Nations Transitional Authority) to assume
control of Cambodia in 1991.

Its role was to supervise free elections and ensure disarmament
among various political factions after a long period of civil war
and division.

British troops contributed to the international forces which handed over power to a newly elected government in 1993.
